I am a biology professor at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY.  My research interests include the interactions between plants and soil microbes, impacts of invasive species on ecosystem processes, and evolutionary biology education.  At Transy, I teach introductory biology, climate change biology, evolution, ecology, and field botany among other courses.  I’m starting this blog to highlight research relating to the senior seminar I am teaching this fall: SEX!  In the spring I will be beginning a sabbatical in the lab of Jay Lennon (Indiana University) in microbial ecology.  Check out this blog to see what I’m up to!
